ACCOMMODATION
This year we have chosen Tejeda as the main area where the final party, awards ceremony and other planned activities will take place.
The organization is planning to arrange transportation for all participants from Tejeda to the start zone and back to Tejeda to finish the event.
Competition Zone
The competition area (start and finish line) is established in the Pico de Las Nieves. In the same area the Hash House (main provisioning) is set up.
Tejeda
Tejeda is 44 kilometers away from the capital of the island and 22 kilometers from San Mateo. It is situated at 1,050 meters above sea level, making the highest point of the island, with the height of 1949 meters of the peek of Pico de las Nieves. Exclusive accommodation offers for participants
1. Tejeda Hostel
The municipality of Tejeda has given us the remodeled village hostel in the old town, a short walk from services such as supermarkets, petrol station, shops and the final party zone for the event.
The hostel will be a center for housing Gran Canaria 2014 Rogaining from Thursday 11th of December to Sunday 14th of December, fully equipped except for bedding.
The price is € 4 per person per day for cleaning expenses.
With a privileged view of Roque Nublo and Roque Bentayga, symbols of Gran Canaria, the municipal hostel will be the accommodation for runners coming from outside our island and prepared to experience their life's adventure.
We have 34 beds that will be distributed in order of application.
2. Hard Floors
We are organizing to use the football field with artificial turf, and get tents installed by The Military Unit that has collaborated with us earlier. In the case that we won´t have this collaboration this year, we will ask permission for participants to put up their own tents. We have showers and toilets in the area.
The price is € 2 per person per day for cleaning expenses.
Both facilities are provided by the City of Tejeda, so we are very grateful for their help.
